Payment Application Modification
This is an option available to financial consumers to modify the manner in which a payment is applied to their loan at the Fondo Nacional del Ahorro.

Complete form GCA-ACA-FO-025 PAYMENT APPLICATION METHOD REQUEST.

Clearly indicate the chosen option for the change on the form.

Attach the payment receipt.
Options available on the form

Application to advance or future installments: the payment will be applied to cover the next installments due.

100% application to principal for term reduction: if the loan is current, the payment shall be applied exclusively to principal, reducing the remaining loan term. If the loan is in arrears, it shall cover the overdue installment(s) and the surplus shall be applied to principal with term reduction.

100% application to principal for installment reduction: if the loan is current, the payment shall be applied exclusively to principal, reducing the installment amount. If the loan is in arrears, it shall cover the overdue installment(s) and the surplus shall be applied to principal with installment reduction.

Application to installment and term reduction: if the loan is current, the current installment is covered and the surplus is applied to principal with term reduction. If the loan is in arrears, it covers the overdue installment, the current installment, and the surplus is applied to principal with term reduction.

If the loan is in arrears, overdue installments shall be covered first and the remaining balance shall be applied according to the chosen option.
