We want to provide you with the tools to submit your petition, complaint, claim, suggestion, inquiry, request for documents or information, and commendation.

Requirements
  • To submit this request you must provide the following information:

  • Full name.

  • Identification number.

  • Contact address.

  • When the petition is submitted on behalf of a legal entity, such entity must be accredited with the corresponding certificate of existence and legal representation issued by the Chamber of Commerce (issued no more than three months prior).

  • Telephone number.

  • Email address.

  • Subject matter of the petition.

  • Grounds on which your petition is based.

  • List of documents you wish to submit.

  • Signature of the petitioner (if applicable).

Important note
  • If you submit your petition without the minimum required information, we will request the missing information or documentation within a maximum period of 10 business days following the filing date, and five business days for habeas data cases.

  • You shall have a maximum of two months to complete the required information.

  • Communications of a disrespectful nature shall not be recognized as petitions, pursuant to Article 23 of the Political Constitution of Colombia.

  • Please note that only when the purpose or subject matter of the petition is unclear will it be returned for correction within the following 10 days. (Should the petition not be corrected, it will be archived).

  • Responses to anonymous petitions shall be published on the website for a period of five business days.

  • Responses to petitions shall be sent to the address provided by the petitioner; otherwise, they shall be sent to the address registered in the FNA system.

  • In order to receive your response in less time, you must authorize us in the petition to send it to your email address.

  • Please note that the FNA does not charge for responses to right-to-petition requests. Should copies be required, please consult the applicable cost at the following link.

  • If you need to submit an information request with reserved identification, please click on the following link:

  • Petition right supervision request

  • FNA information inquiries that do not affect the petitioner: 30 business days.

  • Complaints and claims: 15 business days.

  • Petitions from persons with any type of disability, children, adolescents, pregnant women, senior adults, veterans of the Public Forces, and journalists: 14 business days.

  • Information and document requests, petitions from displaced persons, complaints and claims originating from a data operator — Cifin / DataCrédito — and petitions between authorities: 10 business days. (Should no response be provided within this period, the request shall be deemed accepted and copies shall be delivered within the following three days).

  • Complaints and claims received through the Financial Consumer Ombudsman and data processing cases: 8 business days. (Should a substantive resolution of a request require additional time beyond that established by law, a partial response shall be sent prior to the deadline).

  • Information requests from Members of Congress: 5 business days.
