FNA offers the lowest interest rates on the market and is the only institution that finances up to 100% of housing value in Colombia

  • The Fondo Nacional del Ahorro is established as the institution with the lowest interest rates on the market and the only one that finances up to 100% of the housing value, facilitating access to homeownership for thousands of Colombians.

Bogotá, June 26, 2026. Having the lowest interest rates on the market allows more Colombians to access housing loans with lower monthly payments, greater financing capacity, and a lower total cost over time — translating into real opportunities, financial stability, and better conditions for achieving the dream of homeownership.

Leadership in rates and access to housing

In this context, the Fondo Nacional del Ahorro (FNA) is established as the institution offering the lowest interest rates on the market and the only one that finances up to 100% of the housing value, eliminating one of the main barriers to access: the down payment.

What are interest rates and why do they matter?

Interest rates are the cost a person pays to access a loan. In the case of housing, they determine the value of monthly payments and the total amount paid over time. Having the lowest rates on the market therefore means direct financial relief for Colombians, as it reduces monthly payment amounts, improves borrowing capacity, and facilitates financial closing.

Current FNA loan conditions

Currently, the FNA offers rates starting at approximately 8.5% effective annual rate (E.A.), depending on the member's profile, enrollment method, and financial behavior, including innovative variables such as timely payment of utility bills.

100% financing: key conditions

Financing of 100% of the housing value applies under specific conditions that facilitate responsible access to credit:

  • Applies to social interest housing (VIS) within established price limits.
  • Intended for the member's first or only home.
  • The loan is amortized in Colombian pesos, providing greater payment stability and avoiding exposure to indexation fluctuations.

Facilities for accessing credit

Additionally, the institution facilitates access to credit through various mechanisms:

  • Enrollment through severance fund transfer (cesantías).
  • Voluntary Contractual Savings (Ahorro Voluntario Contractual – AVC), which allows members to build a payment history and capacity with flexible contributions.
  • Agile approvals, which in many cases can be granted on the same day during housing fairs and special events.

"At the Fondo Nacional del Ahorro, we work so that more Colombians can access homeownership. Offering the lowest rates on the market and financing up to 100% of the housing value is a concrete commitment to closing gaps and creating real opportunities for families," said FNA President Laura Milena Roa Zeidán.

Commitment to Colombians

With these conditions, the FNA not only reduces barriers to credit access but transforms the way Colombians can achieve the dream of owning a home, with more inclusive, flexible, and realistic solutions tailored to the country's reality.

The Fondo Nacional del Ahorro invites all Colombians to take advantage of this unique opportunity to move forward with their housing projects, improve their home, or begin their savings journey — now with more time, better conditions, and greater ease.

About the Fondo Nacional del Ahorro

The Fondo Nacional del Ahorro (FNA) is a state entity with more than 55 years of experience managing and converting Colombians' severance savings (cesantías) and savings into homeownership.
