What is the housing subsidy?
The housing subsidy is a monetary contribution provided by the National Government to Colombian families to help them purchase a new home. This benefit is non-reimbursable and is intended for families that meet certain income requirements and do not own a property.
FNA is one of the authorized entities to channel these subsidies, facilitating the process so that more Colombians can access homeownership with State support.
Types of available subsidies
There are several types of subsidies depending on the program you apply to: Mi Casa Ya for new housing, the family housing subsidy from compensation funds, and the interest rate subsidy that reduces the cost of your mortgage loan.
Each program has specific requirements related to your income, your family situation, and the type of housing you wish to acquire. It is important to be aware of all the options in order to choose the one that best suits your circumstances.
How to access the subsidy through FNA
To access a housing subsidy through FNA, you must first be an active member with Cesantias or voluntary savings held at the fund. You may then initiate the mortgage loan application process, and if you meet the requirements, the subsidy will be applied directly to your financing.
